KBA RAPIDA 105 - 41-inch six-color sheetfed press with coater and UV hybrid capabilities, prints on sheets from lightweight 60lb text up to 48pt board for point of purchase work. Offering the ability to print on a wide variety of substrates such as vinyl or litho canvas, and be able to use different coating techniques.
This press is the fastest available 41” sheetfed press in its category, running at 18,000 sheets per hour, and is equipped with unmatched quality control features. Not only does it read combined density and color measurement along the color bar, but it also permits measurements within the image. Deviations from defined target densities, color values and other quality parameters (dot gain, trapping, etc.) are immediately recognized. Instantly, the density and spectral deviations are converted into corrective adjustments for the individual ink keys.
10-MICRON SCREENING PROCESS Over the last 3 years Paragraphics’ craftspeople have mastered the difficult skills of running the finest screens possible. Originally designed for premium applications, Paragraphics runs 95% of jobs using 10-micron screens.
Most fine quality printers use a 175-line screen, Creo’s 10-micron Staccato screening produces a screen comparable to 800-lines.
Staccato screening increases the fidelity of printing by using FM high-frequency random placement of ink dots to resolve very fine detail. The screens create smooth process color tints and vignettes, without flaws such as rosettes and screening moiré, shade stepping or abrupt tone jumps. Screened fine lines are unbroken, and reverses appear with smooth, not jagged, edges. Staccato also uses ink more efficiently than other screening methods, providing colors that are richer and brighter.
The end result is halftones look like sharp photo prints, and process builds look like special spot colors. 10-micron raises the bar, and redefines premium quality.
FOIL EMBOSSING DIE CUTTING Nothing enhances fine printing like an elegant blind emboss, or the application of rich foil. Clever die cutting offers another unique design tool.
Paragraphics has in-house equipment and skilled craftsmen to turn a design concept into customer-pleasing reality.
FULL IN-HOUSE BINDERY Paragraphics can trim days off of a print schedule by finishing nearly everything we print in our own bindery. Scoring, folding, saddlestitching, trimming and shrinkwrapping are done in our own bindery. Fulfillment and drop shipping are done in-house, as well.
